Beautiful and unique (first paragraph - a bit of background)
I am a college student who is staying in a residence hall. All of the beds on campus are twin xL and the school even provides a place to buy the sheets that are made to fit these beds. I didn't want the same solid or two-tone blankets that every one else was getting. I found these on Amazon right before I had left for college and I knew I had to have them. Normally I like to buy items off the internet based on reviews and my own judgement. At the time this product didn't have any. I bought them anyways and I have absolutely no regrets.
These blankets are very unique and they look beautiful (without looking particularly feminine)no matter which side you choose to use. The comforter isn't the type that is just all fluff and no warmth, it is thin as far as comforters go but it is very, very warm.( I moved from the deep south to the north east, that was a must).
The reason I knocked off a star is that it does not come with a fitted sheet. I would recommend this...

Bed set
This bed set is definitely worth the cost. The blanket is thick enough to keep you warm, but not so thick that you overheat easily. The pillows that come with the set are great. The only negative is that it doesn't come with sheets, but its still a great deal. PS- I love the fact that it comes with a bedskirt.
Amazing, esp. for dorm
I'm a college freshman and this is the set I got for my dorm. I was looking for something black-and-white and not too girly, and this is perfect! It's super comfortable, and very unique. Although I left the two smaller decoration pillows and the bed skirt at home, I got a pillow for the large, square sham and it's great for lounging in a dorm. I'm really glad I found this, perfect!
